I am not sure that the words I write will adequately express the impact that Chelese Perry has had on my career and my life as a whole.

Chelese has a holistic approach to her executive coaching that is so necessary. When we talked about my goals and objectives it was not from a purely strategic view, we looked at the emotional and spiritual aspect as well. What in my role gives me a sense of purpose, what do I need to move forward in that purpose, how do I leverage support, how do I navigate difficult conversations and work relationships?

Since I have started coaching sessions with Chelese, I have felt a shift in my engagement as it relates directly to my current job. As Chelese says, when we had our first few sessions, I was “gray,” but as we continued, she noticed that I had shifted to being “more colorful.” I had found a new excitement about my role and how I could create my own lanes of opportunity when there was not an obvious pathway in front of me. I felt a renewed sense of purpose as opposed to the growing frustration I had been previously feeling and I give all credit to the tools and frameworks that Chelese shared from her expansive knowledge. She will say that I did the work, but she provided the navigation system for me to become unstuck. Her guidance and expertise have been key in helping me to reframe my mindset about work productivity, internal and external communications and being comfortable with discomfort.

Words cannot explain the impact that having Chelese as an executive life coach has meant to me throughout the course of this past year. I have to emphasize the fact that I added the word LIFE in there purposely as her counsel this year has had a huge impact on my Life.

I will first state that I felt as though I was in control of everything professionally as well as personally so the need for an executive coach was unnecessary from the onset, however I agreed to try it as it had to have added some sort of value at a minimum.

I was admittedly apprehensive during the first session as I was somewhat closed off but wanted to let her in just enough to help me to address the few issues and conundrums I was experiencing at work. Chelese saw right through that, addressed it and asked me “so what is REALLY going on” and I felt like she was able to read my thoughts… we had such a connection after our second session together that I felt as though I could not function without heeding to her counsel.

I found that as I applied her methods and suggestions to my daily interactions not only did it yield huge results in me; but more so in the interactions with the people around me. And this is in ALL facets of my livelihood (work, home, friendships etc.,). She has taught me to prioritize effectively and made it a point to tweak personal perspectives and apply this methodology to all that I do for my personal health and happiness. And it has yielded unbelievable results.

Her methods of listening and understanding are conventional however the personal touch that she adds as she requires you to relax and be calm and open so she can not only listen but hear you are quite effective. There are never judgements and confidentiality is NEVER a question. When someone is able to share a personal experience with you and is easily relatable it is very comforting and it is why I chose to stay with Chelese.

Lastly I will state that there is something to be said for a person that is spiritually grounded, aware of the world that surrounds them, and attune with the universe. Having a conversation with a well-rounded individual that can speak to AND from experiences makes you want to learn how to grow the way they have grown and can easily push you to organically want to do better.
